Situated alongside the A259 – Hastings to Rye Road – it blends into the beautiful rural greenery of one of the cinque port towns Winchelsea the smallest town in England and only 3 miles from Rye is at the heart of this historic part of England. It is an ideal place to stay whatever the reason for your visit. All 28 rooms (8 located on ground floor level with full disabled access) are en suite and have personal tea and coffee making facilities hairdryers and flat screen TVs. There is ample free on-site car parking for all guests and free hi-speed Wi-Fi throughout. We have a private function room for meetings or parties which has its won separate entrance and smoking area.

The contemporary restaurant is open all day 7 days a week. The menu has something for any time of day or taste ranging from Light Bites to delicious mains and sumptuous desserts. Regular and varied entertainment events are held and function and meeting facilties are available. The Lodge is an ideal wedding reception venue. We can cater for 70 for a formal meal or 120+ for a buffet or our private function room is available for smaller parties of up to 40. Ample Free Parking.

Mobility Description:
The main Lodge which houses the restaurant and bar is accessible via a long shallow ramp. The bar is on ground level and there is a dining area set up on this level the larger restaurant area is up a short staircase. The disabled toilet in the Restaurant has an alarm in case of emergency. There is also a disabled toilet in the function room access is via the rear of the main building. We try to be as accessable as possible but some wheelchair users may find our facilities difficult without someone to assist them. We have 8 ground floor rooms 4 twins and 4 doubles which have walk in wet rooms with a grab rail. There is a step up into the rooms for which a ramp can be provided on request. Once in the room there are no steps or stairs however there is limited space to use a wheelchair fully.

  The contemporary restaurant can seat up to 50 and offers a whole host of dishes some traditional and some more adventurous. There is something for everyones taste and budget from kids menus snacks and light bites right to 3 course a La Carte - All at great prices. Pets are not permitted in the Lodge restaurant or inside public areas. The entire restaurant & bar can be booked for private functions or weddings and we can cater for 80 for a formal dinner or 120+ for a buffet.
